This refers to the development of cysts in the kidneys of the patient on dialysis. It is not unusual to see cysts in the native kidneys of patients on dialysis, this is not to be confused with poly cystic kidney disease. The cysts may get infected, they may bleed and rarely there is malignant transformation.
