Nutrients

A simple classification of nutrients is fat, protein, carbohydate, vitamins and minerals. Fat, protein and carbohydrate are the main sources of energy. Each gramme of protein and carbohydrate gives about 3 Kcal of energy while each gramme of fat gives about 9 Kcal (ie. three times as much).
