The donor should be tested for the following infectious agents
Ideally a blood sample prior to massive transfusion should be tested, as massive transfusion will dilute the antibodies to the extent that they may no longer be detectable.
The following biochemical investigations should be performed
Patient being considered as kidney donors should have an MSU or CSU sent.
