Hamsters

Schwartz and Dameshek injected radioactive labelled albumin (human or bovine) into hamsters and noted the rate of elimination of the radio labelled albumin. The experiment was then repeated following adminstration of 6 mercapto purine. The mercaptopurine resulted in preservation of the radio labelled albumin in the hamsters. [SSD59]
