Rate of transplantation

In Ireland over the seven year period of October 1991 to October 1998 884 renal transplants were performed. This is a rate of 126 transplants per year. In the first seven months of 2003 104 transplants were performed.

This is equivalent to a rate of transplantion of about 30 per million per year.
