Leucotriene B4 (LTB-4) is a product of arachadinoic acid via the lipo-oxygenase pathway. It is a potent chomoattractant. It enhances vascular permeability and leucocyte adhesion. It also promotes release of free oxygen radicals and proteolytic enzymes from leucocytes.
