Prior to surgery the following specific investigations are commonly required ;
- T4, TSH
- CXR, Thoracic inlet x-ray
- Thyroid scan and ultrasound
- Thyroid antibodies
- Serum Ca
- Check vocal cords by indirect laryngoscopy by ENT surgeon. Notify the
surgeon if this is not available.
