Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy

Patient must have normal liver function tests at the time of operation. The Ultrasound result MUST be in the chart with normal common bile duct caliber. If CBD dilated, must have ERCP/MRCP preoperatively.

History and examination. FBC, U&E, LFT/GGT, No need for coag unless indicated CXR,ECG.

Consent, see 11.1.5, must be for Laparoscopic +/- open procedure. Must inform and record the risk of CBD injury ( 0.5%), also the risks of infection, bleeding, and pancreatitis.
