Passive immunisation is given in the form of human antibodies against tetanus
neurotoxin. Human antitetanus immunoglobulin Humotet is administered.
In at risk wounds the dose of Humotet is 250 IU intra muscularly. In
patients with tetanus a considerably higher dosage is needed 1000-3000 IU.
